FAQ/Detailed Activity Descriptions
1) General Meeting: Held once a week starting from the 2nd week of a quarter to 2 weeks before finals
2) Governor's Visitation: Special meeting worth 2 bonus points! Occurs once a year.
3) Bring a Guest: Any non-pay member who may be interested in joining. Same guest only counts once. If two people bring one guest, both my receive credit. Must notify an officer if you brought the guest.
4) Committee: Committees are needed for certain bigger events. They will be led by officers unless a member wants to volunteer to lead. Committees help set up the ground work for larger projects.
5) Flyering: Flyering will be needed to advertise for members, restaurant fundraisers, and more. Flyering does NOT include farmer's market tabling (counts for service hours). Flyering events will be marked on the Google Doc Signups in Purple.
6) Club Social: Socials can range from a study party to an iceskating trip. Club Social will be on a separte Google Doc Signups Page in Blue.
7) Club Fundraisers: The most common will be restaurant fundraisers. You can either go with a group or pick up a to-go order. If an officer is not present, simply email a picture of your food or your receipt.
8) Zone Meeting: 3 zone meetings held a year. Usually a weekday night. Meal fee involved. Rides provided. Great way to see how the district works.
9) District Cabinet Meeting: Several held a year. Usually a weekend morning. Locations may vary (can be close or far). Rides may sometimes be provided. Great way to talk to other Lions in the district, attend workshops, and more.
10) Local Club: There are many clubs in the area and you can plan a visitation to one of their meeting or attend one of their events to support their causes. Attending the events must be done as a guest not as a volunteer (you will receive hours in this case.)
11) Attend a Convention: District, MD-4, and International Conventions are held once a year. A more local convention (within 2-3 hours of Davis) will be attended by officers and rides can be provided. The club will work together to subsidize costs.
12) Global Leadership Training: Held once a year (one in Nor-Cal and one in So-Cal). Involves a hotel+food fee but scholarships that cover the majority of the cost are available.

-Costs of most meals are less than $15. If you are unable to pay please contact an officer to see about subsidizing your costs.
