1) Tell us a bit about yourself
My name is Sarhea Reyes. I am 20 years old and I graduated from Armijo High School in Fairfield, CA. I am Filipino. I love to dance and do several arts and craft projects, such as crocheting, making jewelry, and drawing. I love to help people too!

2) What causes are you passionate about?
I am passionate about every cause. I've helped out at food banks, elderly homes, environmental projects, and hospital internships.

3) How has your time with Lions been?
My time with the Lions Club has been really great. I met different people and help different organizations inside and outside of school. I had the best time with the officers, Vivian and Kelly. Through them, I learned many of the different aspects that go into planning club events and working with other clubs. It was really easy to make friends in the club, which made the volunteering part more enjoyable.

4) What are you currently studying? What would you like to do in the future?
I am currently studying English, but I still hope to become a doctor.

5) What do you like to do in your free time?
On my free time, I love to spend time with my family and friends. I also love to watch movies and play with my little dog.

6) Guilty Pleasure: what can you not live without?
I can't live without dark chocolate and jalapeno chips!

1) Tell us a bit about yourself
My name is Julianna Roy, and I am a second year student here at UC Davis. I am 19 years old, I have 3 older brothers and an older adopted sister (from Iran), 2 nephews, and a dachshund named Snickers. I usually have a ton of energy, and I love making the people around me smile! :) I am a member of the University Honors Program, Prytanean Women's Honor Society, and of course, Davis Aggie Lions Club. My favorite color is teal, and I love ice cream (and all forms of sugar), baking (especially pumpkin bread), and singing loudly with my roommates.

2) What causes are you passionate about?
I volunteered for many hours during my four years of high school, and everything I did centered around helping children. I worked at several elementary schools in San Jose, tutoring kids in an after school program. I spent many hours at the Children's Discovery Museum, as well as at St. Elizabeth's Day Home. I also traveled to China with my religion class after our Junior year, where we visited elementary, middle, and high schools to teach kids English and learn about their culture. I have been a camp counselor at an educational summer camp for the past two years, and I have loved working with such incredible children. Kids are always so excited to learn, and they always look up to us "big kids" with such adoration and respect. I love seeing the difference I can make in some children's lives, and I hope to continue my work with kids in the future.

3) How has your time with Lions been?
My time with Lions has been incredible! Last year, I didn't really get involved with any clubs on campus, and this year, I felt the need to get out and do something. I found Lions Club, and after attending one meeting, I was hooked. I always get really excited when I sign up for all these different service events! I have already had several new and exciting experiences through this club, like painting over graffiti, Christmas caroling for eyeglasses, and exploding watermelons at the Explorit Science Center. I especially love volunteering with people; seeing the gratitude on their faces makes it worth the hard work. I have also made some really great friends in Lions, and this club has made me step a bit out of my comfort zone and get more involved in my community. I hope to eventually become an officer so that I can help the Davis Aggie Lions Club develop even more.

4) What are you currently studying? What would you like to do in the future?
I am majoring in Psychology, and I'm double minoring in French and Statistics. I will be completing most of my French minor courses abroad this coming Fall at the University of Lyon, France! I am working on completing a B.S. in Psychology with a math emphasis, and I plan on attending graduate school to earn a Ph.D. in Psychology. In the future, I would like to get into Organizational Psychology, possibly as a private consultant for businesses to improve communication and productivity within the workplace. I might also want to become a teacher, after doing my own research for several years.

5) What do you like to do in your free time?
My ideal night is hanging out with a few of my closest friends, playing board games and video games, and eating food. I also love to watch TV, especially shows like South Park, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Parks and Recreation. I also love to bake things like chocolate chip pumpkin bread, banana bread, and different kinds of cookies. I also take requests -- if anyone wants baked goods, just let me know! :) If I had more free time, I would be reading the Game of Thrones books (I've been on book 2 for a while now...), but school and volunteering with Lions and Prytanean take up most of my time.

6) Guilty Pleasure: what can you not live without?
My guilty pleasure is definitely ice cream. Favorite flavors: chocolate, mint chocolate chip, and coffee. Since I have been living in an apartment, there has never been a time when our freezer did not contain some form of ice cream. I probably eat way to much of it, but I could never bring myself to give it up!

1) Tell us a bit about yourself
My name is Kealani Beltran and I'm a first-year undergraduate student interested in volunteer work. I joined this club because I thought it would be a great way to not only help the community and feel like I made a difference, but also to find like-minded people to get to know and make connections with. I am friendly, nice, and a good listener when it comes down to it--people can always come to me.

2) What causes are you passionate about?
Helping the elderly and the underprivileged have both always called out to me. But really I just love helping all people out in any way I can--sometimes even the most mundane tasks are what mean the most to others in their time of need. I'm always willing to go out of my way to give someone a helping hand.

3) How has your time with Lions been?
So far it's been amazing! It's a lot of fun, and everyone is so funny and welcoming. I felt at home in no time. :)

4) What are you currently studying? What would you like to do in the future?
Currently studying as a Psychology major planning on graduate school in order to hopefully achieve my dream job of becoming a clinical/counseling psychologist. I love people--they truly interest me and I want to aid them as much as possible in overcoming the challenges and obstacles we all encounter at some point in our lives. No one should have to cope alone.

5) What do you like to do in your free time?
Aside from participating in this club, I partake in NPB (Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior) club, and am a member of the NACD/Powwow committee. I'm looking forward to hopefully next year joining the Polynesian club on campus as well (Na Keiki 'O Hawai'i). I also love hanging out with friends, getting some exercise, and going on mini adventures both solo and with others (hiking, taking long walks, exploring, going out to eat, watching movies etc.)

6) Guilty Pleasure: what can you not live without?
Huge anime nerd oops. My favorites are Nagi No Asukara, InuYasha, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and Shigatsu Wa Kimi No Uso to name a few. Come talk to me if you want to share anime together!
